對於新手媽媽來說，第一次找保母的時機點也是個尷尬的問題，太早或太晚都會擔心，諸如：各位媽咪都是懷孕中開始找尋保母還是生完在找呢？如果離托育時間還有約半年會不會太早找呀？？

等到育嬰假結束才托育 ➜ 提前2～3個月開始找

「2～3月」是統計大家經驗之平均值，當然也有人更早就開始！
台灣保母一直是僧多粥少，口碑良好的保母很容易一下就額滿（或是有家長已經在排隊）。
尤其要找到彼此適合的「好」保母，教養方式、環境、個性⋯⋯等等，都是需要花時間嘗試的。
不過要注意：若提前太多，有些保母其實也會不願意先定案喔！畢竟時間拉越長，變數越大。

如果順利找到的話，建議媽媽們在育嬰假結束前，先安排一段時間送寶寶到保母家「體驗」看看（到府保母就是請到家中囉）。
可以作為「試托期」來確認是否適合長久合作、也能讓寶寶先適應。
有媽媽就分享：她在寶寶滿6個月前就一週送去保母家3天，也讓家中長輩能休息，果然在邁入6M後開始認生、卻不會怕保母喔！

坐完月子就回去上班 ➜ 懷孕7～8個月開始找

有些媽媽是一坐完月子就要恢復上班的話，會建議從產前就往前算2～3個月，把坐月子的時間扣掉。
一方面這個時後肚子還不會大到走不動，有體力趴趴走、多方比較；
等到寶寶生下來後又要坐月子、餵母奶、還要找保母，通常只會手忙腳亂，又馬上要回去上班了，心理壓力也會很大呀～～～

保母預約金＋簽約

找到有緣的保母之後，下一步就要趕快預約下來：簽約＋付訂金保障雙方權益！
以免快到約定期間，保母卻突然收托了其他寶寶、或是媽媽臨時變卦取消case。
普遍金額為5000元，不過目前也無強制規範，也有保母收半個月or一個月托育費用。
這最後也可以扣抵在托育費上的唷～
